Question: When does a Phablet become a Tableph?

Answer – Not so fast. First of all what is a Phablet? Wikipedia says,  “Phablet (\’fæb.lɪt\), is an informal term for consumer touch-screen devices with screens that are between five and seven inches. These devices combine the capabilities of a smartphone and mini tablet — and occasionally incorporate a stylus. A phablet is larger than most smartphones, but not as large as a tablet or mini-tablet.”

Girls focus now, the keyword is larger which unfortunately is a subjective term and kind of wishy-washy mush. So let’s put some definition and metrics to it, shall we?  Size matters and as we all know that means more than six inches.

Now, if a Phablet is a larger smart phone, then a Tableph™  is a larger Phablet, so, doing the math a Phablet is a larger smart phone under six inches and a Tableph is a larger Phablet over six inches.

What does this have to do with CES which as we all know starts tomorrow for most, today for some and some never ever?  Well, at this years Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas we are expecting big announcements about bigger Phablets, ie: Tablephs ™.   By the way of example Huawei 6.1 ” Ascend Mate, Tableph™ , Note 3 Tableph™ from Samsung is rumored to be perhaps at some unknown size north of six inches.

This could be big. This could be huge.
