Taking a little breather from looking for technologies we know you girls need and keeping with our theme we decided we would investigate a new high-tech interactive lounge and hot spot and headed over to The Mirage in Las Vegas to see what all the hoopla was about King Ink. We quickly realized that the King was not in the building – yet but splashy new digs were being built for him at The Mirage. Chandeliers were still being hung and workmen swinging their hammers for the April 10, 2010 opening of King Ink lifestyle tattoo studio, interactive lounge and bar room. The King is Mario Barth and he is more than a chiseled face. Named one of the most influential artists in the history of tattooing, owner of Starlight Tattoo and creator and manufacturer of INTENZE INK used in reconstructive surgery to help patients adjust with more natural derma appearance after major surgery Barth is an artist and a businessman. We have to admit we were disappointed to discover this new venue will not be open until April 10, 2010 but we did peek behind the curtain where construction was taking place. Baroque inspired lifestyle tattoo studio, interactive bar and lounge the decor is lavish with marble floors and glittering chandeliers mixed with rock ‘n’ roll edge. Combining tattoo, tech, beauty and edge makes this different than anything we have seen. This hot spot is going to be ultra-hip and beautiful. Mario Barth at The Mirage is Girlie Gadget approved!
